Gas Leaks
If a gas cylinder or piping begins leaking:
- Confine the fumes or fire as much as possible to limit impact to the leak area by closing doors in the immediate are of the leak.
- Evacuate building to a safe area at least 500 feet away, leaving access for emergency personnel. Do not return to the building until instructed to do so by the police or fire department.
- Call 9-1-1 and give:

Suspected gas leaks or suspicious odors should also be reported to Facilities Services, 587-7951, in addition to Police at 9-1-1, so that appropriate departments can be notified and the source of the odor investigated.
