Art Minor

An Art Minor (or area of concentration in art) is available by taking 18 semester hours in the following core and selected areas:

1. Complete ALL of the following:

  • Ar 206: Design (3 credit hours)
  • Ar 207: Design (3 credit hours)
  • Ar 208: Drawing (3 credit hours)

2. Select one 2D studio course:

  • Ar 220: Painting (3 credit hours)
  • Ar 260: Printmaking (3 credit hours)
  • Ar 280: Photography (3 credit hours)

3. Select one 3D studio course:

  • Ar 240: Fibers (3 credit hours)
  • Ar 250: Sculpture (3 credit hours)
  • Ar 270: Ceramics (3 credit hours)
  • Ar 290: Metalsmithing (3 credit hours)

4. Select one course from the following:

  • Ar 306: Design Problems (3 credit hours)
  • Ar 364: History of Art (3 credit hours)
  • Ar 365: History of Art (3 credit hours)
  • Ar 366: History of Art (3 credit hours)
