Statewide Price Agreements
The State Purchasing Office establishes price agreements, called State Commodity and Service Agreements, with a multitude of vendors from which state agencies purchase goods and services. Adams State University is required to purchase from these price agreements providing that the products or services under price agreement are in substantial conformity to the needs of the institution.
The University must purchase from the "mandatory" price agreements to the exclusion of all others. The University must purchase from the "permissive" price agreements if better prices are not available elsewhere. No dollar limit for purchases exists on orders from price agreement vendors and these purchases are not subject to any additional bidding process. Some minimums for orders exist on dollar amounts or quantities.
The state price agreements are available for viewing and printing from the State's web site. Complete and current information including the terms and conditions of the price agreements are available here. Pricing can be viewed directly in the price agreement document, in PDF files attached to the agreement using Acrobat Reader, or by a web link to the vendor's web site.
