Donors remain loyal through the tough times
Despite the economic downturn, the Adams State College Foundation continues to increase its donor base. Nearly 1,700 donors contributed during 2008, although some found they needed to decrease the size of their gift. Total contributions were $1,040,541, according to Tammy Lopez, executive director of the Foundation. Of that, $21,746 was raised through the 2008 Phonathon last fall. In addition, the recent Foundation Board Challenge raised $210,747 in unrestricted gifts.
The majority of funds managed by the Foundation support student scholarships, with $370,319 awarded to 200 ASC students in 2008.
Stock market losses have prompted the Foundation to restructure its staff responsibilities. If you are interested in making a donation or planned gift, please contact either Tammy Lopez or Lori Laske at 719-587-7609.
