Great Sand Dunes Nat'l Park and Preserve
- Horse barn clean-up (some fencing or horse grooming may accompany this project).
Great Sand Dunes Nat'l Park and Preserve II
- Remove exotic plants that are a detriment to native plants.
- Outside project: bring sunscreen, snacks, water, and wear a long-sleeved shirt or jacket and hat

USFS & BLM Clean Up
- The BLM & USFS would like your assistance helping clean up "our" public lands. This is the 16th annual celebration of this event, where last year, over 110,000 people served at more than 1,300 locations across all 50 states.
- Come join and serve with students from our local high schools to be a part of this national movement!
- Outside project: dress for the weather. Closed toe shoes, etc. Expect your day to be full of hard work, community spirit, good times, and a sense of accomplishment.

Adventure Center
- Vineyard of the Rio Grande is coordinating this project. Volunteers will be joining with special needs children in the Valley, and their families, to provide an outing for them called "Adventure Center". This outing will take place at the Boys & Girls Club facilites and grounds.

Rio Grande Reparian Zone Clean-up
- Clean-up of the Rio Grande Riparian zone north of campus. This will involve picking up trash that has accumulated along the river.
- Outside project: work gloves(provided) and old clothing.

Alamosa Food Bank - Community Gleaning Project
- Travel to local carrot or potato farms to glean excess produce, later used to feed low-income individuals and families. Also, there will be the opportunity to discuss agriculture and farmwork issues with local farmers.
- Outdoor project: bring closed-toe shoes, layers/jacket that is weather appropriate, water, and sunscreen.

American Red Cross
- Help assemble "comfort kits" that include shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, wash cloth, etc.

Monte Vista Nat'l Wildlife Refuge
- Help build a split-rail fence designed to separate visitors and their vehicles from the wildlife viewing area.
- Outdoor project: work clothing, heavy shoes or boots, jacket, gloves(provided), and the ability to follow simple directions and perform light lifting.

- Extend the walkway along Edison Avenue

Alamosa Community Gardens II
- Plant garlic bed at Polston Primary School, remove weeds, and prepare the garden for fall.
- Time permitting, work will move to Boyd Elementary with the turning and watering of the large compost pile.

Haidakhandi Universal Ashram
- This project is in Crestone, CO. Volunteers will assist with preparations for Fire Ceremony and Honoring of Children.
- Prepare food, participate in Ceremony and help with clean-up.
- Indoor and Outdoor project: long skirts (girls) or slacks and dress shirt. Appropriate for church service.

Colorado Gator Farm
- Help feed animals and clean cages. Help introduce visitors to the wonderful world of reptiles. Help more alligators for winter.

Mi Animo Mentoring
- Highway cleanup in Alamosa
- Volunteers will join youth from around the San Luis Valley and will return to program headquarters for a Barbeque. This is a mentoring program for at-risk youth.

ASC Food Drive
- This is the kick-off to a month-long food drive. Volunteers will collect food on a door-to-door basis around the college neighborhood on September 29th from 4-6pm.
- Boxes will be placed around campus throughout the duration of the food drive in order to provide students, faculty, and staff with an opportunity to contribute.

Valley Humane League
- Volunteers will be putting gravel in kennels, switching out pallets, walking dogs, and playing with puppies and kittens.
