Bedawi Gomez, Exercise Science and Sports Administration

Trinidad & Tobago

"My name is Bedawi Gomez. I am an international student here at ASU from Trinidad & Tobago. I came to ASU in the Fall 08 and was immediately overwhelmed by the warmth and willingness of the people here. Coming from a different country, with different cultural aspects it was an easy transition for me. Sometimes college life is not that easy for many individuals, local and international alike. Sometimes there are many obstacles to face, but with the help and kindness of various individuals around the institution, they have helped me overcome much of those barriers and have help made my college life here at ASU a more pleasant one. Great people, great environment, great school!"

Beverly Hottor, Exercise Science and Sports Administration

Republic of Ghana

"My name is Beverly Albert Hottor and I am from the Republic of Ghana in West Africa. What makes Adams State University the perfect educational and institutional destination for me is because of the outstanding determination of all members of the faculty and staff that helped in making my success as a foreign student comes to a reality. When I first arrived in Alamosa, my international student advisor made sure I was picked up from my arrival terminal and helped me settle in for school by helping me register for classes and also make sure I find a better way to adjust to the high altitude. I know that without the kind faces of ASU faculty and staff, and students, I will not be very happy of choosing Adams State University as a home away from home. ASU rocks and I’m proud to be a member of this wonderful and amazing community of Adams State University in Alamosa."
