ASU’s Offer to ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level and IBDP International Students
‘O’ Level Students
Adams State University (ASU) will accept ‘O’ Level international students as first year college students at our campus located in Alamosa, Colorado. TOEFL will not be required, however students must have their transcripts evaluated by an authorized agency. In addition students will have to submit SAT or ACT scores.
‘A’ Level and IBDP Students
TOEFL and SAT/ACT requirements will not be required. However, students must have their transcripts evaluated by an authorized agency. There will also be a possibility of transfer credits based upon ASU academic departmental evaluation of student’s coursework completed in ‘A’ Level and IBDP.
Current Scholarship Offer
Undergraduate international students will receive $5,000 (Experience Colorado yearly scholarship). For this award, undergraduate international students will have to maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA in order to keep on receiving the scholarship each year.
International students will have the possibility to work on campus (based upon availability of on-campus jobs) for a maximum of 20 hours per week during Fall and Spring semesters (during summer they can work for more than 20 hours per week). Typically, an international student can earn approximately $5,000 per year based upon $8.23 per hour pay rate.
Students will also have the possibility to work for one-year in the USA after they graduate in their related course of study if approved by SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program). ASU will assist international students with the application process in this regard.
