Adams State College EARTH Week begins April 13 (04-01-09)

The Adams State College Environmental Action for Resources, Transportation and Health (EARTH) group is planning a variety of events celebrating EARTH Week April 13 through April 18.

A variety/talent show will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, April 13, in Carson Auditorium; strap on your bike helmet for the "Fat Tire Bike Tour" of Alamosa Ranch at 5 p.m. April 14; the Local Food Group's presentation begins at noon April 14, in Porter Hall room 130; local band, "Rescue Party", performance starts at 7 p.m. April 16 in Carson Auditorium; the above events are free and open to the public. Help beautify the river from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. April 17, picking up trash starting at the State Street Bridge. The Adams State Adventure Programs will show "Mountainfilm on Tour", at 7 p.m. April 17; and Saturday includes a garage sale, a very fun 5K, solar demos and speakers from local alternative energy companies starting at 8 a.m. on the west side of the Student Union Building.
