ASC biology symposium is April 25 (04-13-09)

The Adams State College Biology Program is holding a senior symposium in biology from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25, in Porter Hall room 130 (Science and Mathematics Building).

The following biology students will be presenting their material: Katie Hagaman, "Corvid Cognition: A Glimpse into Avian Minds"; Terrance Mitchell, "Cortisol: 'The Stress Hormone Now'"; Nina Salazar, "Vaccines Against Addictive Substances"; Zach Atkins, "Spotted Hyenas: Female Masculinization and its Effect on Clan Structure"; Chad Hiser, "Quail: Coming, Going, or Here to Stay?"; Steven Bourne, "The Western Movement of Zebra and Quagga Mussels"; Laura Moore, "Manic Depression: A Spectral Genomic Disorder"; Sandra Montoya, "The Influence of Sexual Reproduction and the Red Queen Hypothesis"; Kelly Bahr, "Metformin HCl: Its Use and Function in Type Ii Diabetes Mellitus." Laura Knapp, "The Female Athlete Triad"; and Chris Ivers, "Distribution and Composition of Macroinvertebrates at Blanca Wetlands".
