ASC Community Partnerships hosts art teachers exhibit (04-28-09)

Adams State College Community Partnerships Community Gallery exhibit "Before they were Teachers they were Artists", featuring the work of San Luis Valley art teachers, opens Wednesday, May 6 and continues through Tuesday, May 26. The opening reception is from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14. The reception is free and open to the public.

Featured artists include Woody Miller, Del Norte High School; Butch Jones, Sue Patterson, and John Dodds, Alamosa School District; Randy Pijon and Kent Anderson, Centennial Schools; Coralee Casias, Center High School; Tina Cosias, Antonito Schools; and Javier Gonzalez, Sierra Grande Schools. A wide range of mediums, ranging from watercolor to clay to acrylic paint are included in the show.

The ASC Community Partnerships is located on the Adams State campus, corner of Main St. and Edgemont Blvd. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Come enjoy the artwork and support local teachers/artists.
