Guerilla Theatre protests cuts to higher education

(04-05-2010)

Marching to the beat of a drum, Adams State College Guerilla Theatre students protest cuts to higher education, at noon on March 31. Travis Hennager, junior, led the actors to the front steps of Richardson Hall. As Hennager, using a bullhorn, shouted facts about higher education cuts at the state level, the others, dressed in black with placards hung across their necks, used hand gestures to demonstrate the lack of attention from legislators and the public to finding a solution to the funding crisis facing colleges and universities.

A 2009 Adams State Presidential Teacher Award recipient, professor of theatre Dr. John Taylor chose to offer Theatre and Social Change for his special Presidential Teacher Course.
