Adams State makes full use of available technology

(02-05-2010)

Facebook, Twitter, YouTube...Adams State College utilizes all the available, and free, tools to promote campus students, faculty, and staff.

For the last few years, Dr. Robert Astalos, assistant professor of physics, has organized free lectures, from disciplines across campus, and now many of these talks may be viewed on YouTube. Topics include satire in the media, women and guns, gender communication, President Lincoln, and the geology of Africa. More videos will continue to be added.

Director of Communications Mark Schoenecker said it is another way for Adams State to attract prospective students and connect with current students and alumni. "These videos can be seen world-wide, allowing our faculty the exposure to a much larger audience outside of the immediate campus and community."
