Hidden Treasures opening reception is January 18 at ASC Snook Gallery (01-07-08)

The Adams State College Cloyde Snook Gallery show, "Hidden Treasures," graduate thesis works from the permanent collection, opens with a reception from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18.

According to Gene Schilling, professor of art and gallery director, one piece of art is collected from each graduating master's student and put into the Adams State Art Department's permanent collection. "The works are chosen by the student's thesis committee and is the piece that the committee feels best represents the student's thesis," he said.

A student exhibit, "Hot Off the Press," images by printmaking and photography art students, will be in the Hatfield Gallery during the same time frame.

Both shows continue through February 15. The galleries hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information contact the Art Department at 719-587-7823.
