Spring Faculty Lecture Series (01-13-09)
The Adams State College Faculty Lecture Series for the spring 2009 semester includes unique speakers, addressing a variety of topics. The free lectures begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays in Porter Hall (the science building) room 130 throughout the semester.
The schedule includes Dr. Rob Benson, associate professor of geology, "Secret Lives of Ore Deposits: How Do We Find Them, Anyway?" on February 11; Dr. Gina Mitchell, assistant professor of psychology, "Epilepsy and Epilepsy Training" on February 25; Dr. Juan Gonzalez, associate professor of Spanish, "Author of Annihilation: Juan Goytisolo" on March 11; Sandra J. Santa Cruz, Novela Project director, "The Novela Project: The Fabric of Place and Time" on April 1; Paul Mascarenas, Nielsen Library reference librarian, Nancy Trimm, head of reference and instructional services for Mesa County Public Libraries, and Mark Schoenecker, director of communications, "What You Should Know About Web 2.0" on April 15; and Dr. Tracy Doyle, assistant professor of music, "When High Art Meets Popular Entertainment: Erik Satie's Ballet 'Parade'" on April 29.
