Focus on science fair projects is January 30 Science Saturday
Demonstrating key steps in designing a science fair experiment is the January 30 Science Saturday, at the Adams State College Science Activity Center, open from 9 a.m. until noon, Saturday, January 30.
The activity will start with stacking blocks. This exercise will illustrate the central ideas of the scientific process. Following a break, we will talk about the importance of record keeping and the construction of the project board for science fair experiments.
The Science Activity Center, located on the north side of the Community Partnership Building, immediately south of Richardson Hall, is also available for visitors to experiment with robots, roller coasters, microscopes, and other science activities.
No experience is necessary, just a willingness to experiment. The activities are free and open to the public. Parents are encouraged to bring their children; parents must remain with children 12-years-old and younger.
Visit Adams Event Calendar for dates and descriptions. Visitors are encouraged to learn at their own pace and to follow their own interest.
