A selection of donated movie posters for sale at ASC Community Partnerships Gallery through January 30.

Everybody has their favorite movie; now you can own a memento of yours. A collaboration between Adams State College Community Partnerships, the Southern Colorado (SoCo) Film Commission and Ski Hi 6 Theatres will showcase popular movie posters in order to raise funds to attract film production to the San Luis Valley. All posters have been graciously donated by Ski Hi 6 Theatres to boost funds for this cause. The posters range from oldies but goodies to recent box office smashers, such as “The Other” and some from the trilogy of “Harry Potter.”

This month long exhibit will contribute to the SoCo Film Commission funding raising efforts. The mission of the film commission is to facilitate film production in the valley which increases tourism and assists in economic development. Movie buffs, collectors or anyone interested in affordable wall hangings are invited to view and purchase their favorite movie posters during this special opportunity.

The SoCo Film Commission Movie Poster Fundraiser will be held from January 3 through January 30 at the ASC Community Partnerships Gallery, located on the corner of Edgemont Blvd. and Main Street in Alamosa, Colo. The exhibit will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Join us for a reception from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, and take a trip down memory lane.
