Human Performance Lab provides testing for campus and community members
The Adams State College Human Performance and Physical Education Department (HPPE) now offers services for the San Luis and Adams State communities. The open lab, located in Plachy Hall room B119, will conduct tests by appointment from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. every Tuesday. The department will also develop fitness programs based on your tests.
You can choose from four tests; a Fitness Age ($5), Power ($2), Body Composition ($2), and VO2 Max Test (25 $). The Fitness Age Test will indicate an individual's level of fitness based on muscular and cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and body composition.
The VO2 Max Test is an aerobic fitness assessment. The test also includes measures of blood lactate levels at different levels of the test which will be analyzed to establish a proper training routine for each individual.
Free parking is available in the north and south parking lots of Plachy Hall and entrance is through the south doors of Plachy Hall.
To set up an appointment or for more information about the Human Performance Lab contact Dr. Tracey Robinson, associate professor of HPPE, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 719-587-7663.
