EARTH Week Celebration to be held at Adams State College (03-06-09)
A very fun 5K, at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, is part of the celebration of EARTH Week. The Adams State College Environmental Action for Resources, Transportation and Health (EARTH) group is planning the very fun walk/run to raise health awareness. All participants are eligible for a prize drawing, and will receive a recycled EARTH Week t-shirt.
Cost is $5, and registration will be from 7:45 a.m. until 8:15 the day of the race.
The EARTH Week celebration is from April 13 through April 18. A variety of activities are planned including a talent/variety show, a "Fat Tire Bike Tour" of Alamosa Ranch, a concert by "Rescue Party", a river clean-up, and a reduce, reuse, recycle garage sale.
