San Luis native, Theresa Vigil addresses ASC nursing students (03-12-09)
The Adams State College Nursing Program was pleased to invite Theresa Vigil to speak about San Luis Valley native plants and many of their healing properties on March 4. Dr. Aida Sahud, program director, said she wanted to expose her students to some of the Hispanic traditional methods of medicine. "Our students are currently working in the area, and will most likely continue to do so. I wanted them to understand where some of their patients' inherited attitudes towards healing is based."
