Alex Espinoza, Juliana Chaparro, Yesenia Palacios, Wendy Kane, Monica Medina, Krisitina Pham, and Lindsey Nelson accompanied Dr. Leslie Cramblet Alvarez, assistant professor of psychology, and Dr. Rob Demski, professor of psychology, to the conference. Four students presented posters during the conference, including "Effects of death salience and gender on romantic relationship commitment", by Chaparro and Palacios, supervised by Demski; "Achievement motivation and goal orientation: Does declaring a major matter?", by Espinoza, supervised Alvarez; "Race and views on humor in politically incorrect jokes", by Kane supervised by Dr. Brent King, assistant professor of psychology.

RMPA was founded in 1930 and is comprised of representatives of colleges and universities from Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.
