International Week Potluck is Saturday

(11-15-2011)

Promoting peace, unity, and cultural enlightenment and in celebration of US International Education Week, the Second Annual Adams State College International Cuisine Potluck will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Sacred Heart Church gymnasium, located at 726 3rd Street. Community members are welcome to bring a dish and enjoy the dinner and entertainment.

Groups of one to three people are encouraged to bring one cultural potluck dish to share; groups of four to six are asked to bring two dishes. Each person must supply their own tableware, including plates, silverware, napkins, and cups.

A ten person van will run every half hour from Adams State, between the Student Union Building and the Rex Activity Center to Sacred Heart Church beginning at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

This alcohol and drug free event is sponsored by Adams State Diversity Multicultural Club, the Office of Enrollment Management, Associated Students and Faculty and ASC Community Partnerships. Community sponsors include Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Calvillos, community members, various church organizations, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and the Valley Girls Avon.
