Recycles on the runway featured PALS
The Fourth Annual ASC Community Partnerships' Recycle Fashion Exhibit drew a big turnout to see creative ways to re-use commonly discarded material. From dresses made of cigarette packages to woven plastic farm twine to plastic shopping bags, everyone enjoyed this environmental education program. During the event, conservation and recycling tips were shared relating to every outfit.
Leading up to the event, Community Partnerships’ staff worked with PALS kids to talk about the importance of reducing waste, re-using and recycling. PALS kids got in to the fun by creating their own outfits and modeling them at the event. The event was held as part of "America Recycles" month and in conjunction with the "Everything Recycled Twine" exhibit, which runs through November 29 at the ASC Community Partnerships Gallery on the corner of Main Street and Edgemont Blvd.
