Adams State Grizzly Activity Board plans exciting Homecoming Week
Adams State College Homecoming Week "Outrageous Las Vegas" is September 28 through October 3 and the Grizzly Activity Board (GAB) has scheduled a full week of entertainment for students and Grizzly fans alike.
From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, GAB will provide chalk for clubs and groups to show their Adams State pride by decorating sidewalks on campus. Tuesday, Sept. 27, Musical Bingo at the food court begins at 7 p.m., with plenty of free prizes. Adams State's oldest and funniest tradition, the Medicine Show, begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, in Richardson Hall Auditorium.
The trickster, Josh McVicar, will entertain the audience at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, in Carson Auditorium. Afterwards, at 8:30 p.m., the annual Homecoming Bonfire will light up. Students and fans can meet at the Rock, south of the Japanese/American Memorial Garden, and walk down to the bonfire north of the football practice field.
Saturday, October 3, the parade, a community favorite, starts at 10 a.m., on La Due Drive and continues down Main Street to Alamosa Ave. Support the Grizzlies as they take on Western New Mexico at 1 p.m. in Rex Field. The 2009 homecoming royalty will be crowned at half time. A Homecoming Social and Casino Night for Adams State students will be held from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. in the Student Life Center.
