Adams State Alumni Relations honors alumni at Homecoming


The Adams State College Alumni Relations Office will honor Dr. Richard Duran, 2009 Outstanding Alumni, and Philip Lopez, Exceptional New Alumni, at the Alumni Homecoming Banquet at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, in the Student Union Building room 131, tickets are $25 per person and can be reserved by calling Gaylene Horning at 719-587-8110.

Adams State alumni and friends are invited to participate in the golf outing at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Cattails Golf Course and later, starting at 3:30 p.m., the alumni receptions and special reunion group get-togethers will be held in the Student Union Building, third floor.

After the Friday night banquet is the ever-popular, homecoming jazz concert at 8 p.m. in the Richardson Hall Auditorium and the play, "Children of a Lesser God" at 8 p.m. on the Main Stage in the Adams State Theater Building. Saturday, October 3, is off to a running start with a 5K, sponsored by Rex Activity Center, call 719-587-7989 to register. After the parade, at 10 a.m. on Main Street in Alamosa, is a tailgate party at 11 a.m. on the Rex Activity Center lawn; cost is $5 per person. This year it is the Grizzlies versus Western New Mexico Mustangs at 1 p.m. in Rex Field; a post-game reception is scheduled at 4 p.m. at the Inn of the Rio Grande.
