Adventure Leadership & Programming (ALP)

Adventure Leadership and Programming (ALP) is a minor in Human Performance and Physical Education.


The program is designed to train leaders for Adams State Adventure Programs (ASAP). The program also provides technical leadership skills for employment in adventure based careers.

Students can begin taking classes in Spring and Fall building toward Fall employment with ASAP.  Adventure Leadership and Programming is designed so that a group of 9 students go through the course progression in one year of study. 

On-going experience is provided with excellent mentoring through Adventure Programs in following years. The ALP minor is a highly competitive leadership program and requires a high level of commitment.

All of the Adventure Leadership Programming courses require Instructor Approval in order to enroll in the courses.
