Mick Daniel has been actively involved in the field of adventure recreation since 1992. I have always felt guided to teach and work in the outdoors. After my first outdoor course with the North Carolina Outward Bound School I knew I wanted to stay involved in this style of education. His passion lies in the land and the experiences gained from interacting with people and environments. He has instructed courses for the North Carolina Outward Bound School and the Wilderness Education Association.

Student Life and Recreation was a natural progression for him through coordinating the outdoor program here at Adams State College. With the help of the Student Life and Recreation department, he hopes to continue to expand the opportunities that the department can provide for students here at Adams State College.

Mick currently lives in Alamosa, Colorado with his wife Morgan in their 100 plus year old house, which is in a ongoing state of remodel. When he can get away from the office you can find him mountain biking, climbing, and falling down ski hills.

Aaron Miltenberger has no idea how he got into Student Life as a career, but he is pretty sure he likes it. After fifteen years of working with marginal populations and at-risk youth, Aaron decided to change the direction of his work and use the creative energy and skills he developed in non-traditional educational settings to benefit the students at Adams State. As part of his diverse background, he has worked to develop educational curriculum for state delinquent youth programs, delivered addresses to audiences over 3,500 persons, taught Leadership Development for the Thousand Points of Light programs, and made fire by rubbing two sticks together. What that means for the students of ASC is simple--fun times abound with Aaron around!

Aaron lives in Alamosa on a two acre organic farm and can be found chasing his flock of free range chickens or selling fresh produce at the local farmers market with his wife and son.

Beginning in my early childhood, I have been actively been involved in the sports and recreation my entire life. I participated in a verity of sports in high school and played college football at Fort Lewis College. By participating in sports I have learned that hard work and discipline will take you a long way in this world. One of my great passions in life is coaching. I have coached youth baseball, youth wrestling, and high school football for over twenty years. I bring me great pride and joy to watch the kids that I have coached grow into healthy productive young adults. What concerns me most are the unhealthy life styles that I see in today's youth.

I am currently living in Alamosa where I was born and raised. When I do get away you will find me at the golf course. Golf for me has become away for me to enjoy the outdoors and spend time with good friends.
