While only established in 2007, the Adams State University Agribusiness Program is making its mark nationally, and above such storied programs as Colorado State University and Oklahoma State.
Last week at the American Farm Bureau Federation annual competition held in Kansas City, Missouri, ASU’s Kole Kelley earned a spot in the Final Four in the national discussion meet competition. Kelley traveled with six other members of Adam’s Agribusiness Club, along with their faculty sponsor, Dr. Zena Buser, professor of business.
Traveling to the competition were Katelyn McRee, Andrea Clark, Jordyn Neely, Braydon Wakasugi, Cade Kunugi, and Madi Helzer, along with Kelley.
Kelley, an SLV native had already won the Colorado State Discussion Meet last fall. This time he bested all comers to stand with representative in the Final Four from California Poly Tech, University of Wisconsin, and the University of Idaho.
The ASU Agribusiness Club is supported by local Farm Bureaus, and agricultural businesses.
