Colorado’s El Pomar Foundation invites applications for its Health Professions Scholarship, which is valued at up to $15,000 a year. The award is available to students who are seeking advanced degrees as a Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Educator, Physician Assistant, or other master’s/doctorate level health program. The application deadline is April 1, 2016.
Eligible students must be residents of the San Luis Valley and able to commit to working for five years after graduation within the health care community of the greater San Luis Valley region.
Consideration will be given to San Luis Valley residents who intend to work within the health care community of the greater San Luis Valley (SLV) region upon completion of their degree.
Applicants may be enrolled half-time or full-time at an accredited institution, and must be enrolled in a program by the time the scholarship is distributed in August 2016. The award amount will be based on the student’s enrollment status and other financial aid received. The scholarship will be applied toward 2016-2017 academic year tuition and fees. Notification of scholarship awards will occur by the end of May 2016.
