The Adams State University Concert Band and Wind Ensemble Concert begins at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 1, in Richardson Hall Auditorium.
The program will include the Concert Band performing Red Rock Fanfare by John Bogenschutz; As Summer Was Just Beginning by Larry D. Daehn; Festia by James Curnow; and other selections.
The Wind Ensemble will perform Joyous Prelude by Craig Alberty; and Percussion trio by Brandi Quinn, Imperial Presence, by Lais Harmsen; Jon WW piece, by Jon Moffat and many other pieces.
"This band concert features some dynamic action-packed works for large band performed by our Concert Band and several new works for small chamber ensemble from the Wind Ensemble," said Dr. Angela Winter, band director. "The pieces the Wind Ensemble are performing are all original works or arrangements done by our very own students."
