College-Level Examination Program
The College Board’s College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) has been the most widely trusted credit-by-examination program for nearly 50 years, accepted by 2,900 colleges and universities and administered in more than 1,800 test centers. These exams allow students to test their mastery of college-level material in introductory subjects and earn college credit. Students can earn credit and get closer to achieving their educational goals by earning qualifying scores on one or more CLEP exams.

DANTES Subject Standardized Test
DANTES sponsors a wide range of examination programs to assist Service members reach their educational goals. DSSTs offer students a cost-effective, timesaving way to use their knowledge acquired outside of the classroom (perhaps from reading, on-the-job training, or independent study) to accomplish their educational goals.
It is the policy of Adams State University (Adams State) to accept a maximum of 30 transfer credits from College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST) with no more than 18 credits coming from the CLEP general examinations.
