Film makers from six different countries submitted their films for consideration for the Southern Colorado (SoCo) Film Festival to be held at Adams State University, Thursday Oct. 13 through Saturday, Oct. 15.
The theme, BORDERLESS, intends to inspire a diverse conversation about cinematic expression. The festival will screen works that display a wide range of regional, national, and international points of view. In addition to screenings, the festival will incorporate panels, workshops, and juror insights.
This year’s festival will include the category "experimental film," which is a mode of filmmaking that re-evaluates cinematic conventions. Many experimental films relate to arts in other disciplines such as painting, dance, literature and poetry.
