Colorado’s El Pomar Foundation invites applications for its Health Professions scholarship, which is valued at up to $15,000 a year. The award is available to students seeking a post-master’s certificate or master’s degree in nursing, with precedence given to Nurse Practitioner (NP) students. The application deadline is May 1, 2015.
Consideration will be given to San Luis Valley residents who intend to work within the health care community of the greater San Luis Valley (SLV) region upon completion of their degree.
Applicants must be enrolled half-time or full-time at an accredited institution, and must be enrolled in a program by the time the scholarship is distributed in August 2015. The award amount will be based on the student’s enrollment status and other financial aid received. The scholarship will be applied toward 2015-2016 academic year tuition and fees. Notification of scholarship awards will occur by the end of June 2015.
