ASU Nielsen Library Tunnels Under Our Feet presentation is October 6

The lecture series Earth, Water, and Sky: Conversations on the Great Outdoors – San Luis Valley and Beyond presentation, The Tunnels Under Our Feet: Colorado’s Forgotten Hollow Sidewalks, by Tracy Beach, begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, in the Nielsen Library third floor classrooms. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The Tunnels Under Our Feet: Colorado’s Forgotten Hollow Sidewalks is the product of five years of dusty, subterranean research by author Tracy Beach. By exploring these long-forgotten passageways beneath the streets of 14 cities including Colorado Springs, Cripple Creek, Denver, Leadville, Pueblo, and Salida, Beach uncovered a wealth of information and artifacts. Join her for a lively presentation of her findings complete with photographs, relics, and period-appropriate Victorian dress.

Copies of The Tunnels Under Our Feet and her newest book My Life as a Whore: the Biography of Madam Laura Evens will be available for purchase.
