Adams State COVID-19 Protocols:
-
-
- Vaccinations are not required, but are strongly encouraged
- Adams State may revert to mandatory testing for unvaccinated employees and students if the trajectory of the pandemic warrants, alongside any future Public Health guidance or orders.
- Wearing a mask is a personal choice rather than a university requirement, with few exceptions. Performing arts events in which performers are not masked may choose to require audience members to wear masks at the discretion of the event host (e.g. theatre and music performances). Individual faculty members may choose to require face coverings of all students in any given class at this time. Questions can be sent to the Vice-President of Academic Affairs’ office at kbuchanan@adams.edu.
- Students or employees who experience symptoms are strongly encouraged to stay home and seek testing, regardless of vaccination status
- Students or employees who test positive must follow isolation requirements and other guidance from Public Health
- Students who test positive should coordinate with their faculty and the Office of Student Affairs for any impacts to their instruction
- Employees who test positive should coordinate with their supervisors and Human Resources for any impacts to their work schedules and leave situations
- All students and employees are strongly encouraged to get COVID booster shots as soon as they become eligible.
- Adams State will continue to monitor the evolving pandemic and will maintain communication with public health officials.
- If current conditions or public health guidance change, Adams State may revisit and reinstitute protocols as appropriate in response to the situation.
- The safety of our students and staff continues to remain our highest consideration.
