Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
Adams State University is the center of science, technology, engineering and mathematics education (STEM) in southern Colorado. Its small class-sizes, expert faculty and state-of-the-art facilities foster a community of learning that prepares students for a range of careers in STEM fields.
With an emphasis on applied knowledge, STEM education at Adams State blends classroom learning and informal interaction. Students routinely gather at the STEM Center to supplement their coursework with tutoring and group study sessions.
Students also take advantage of the Alamosa Maker Space at Adams State, where they have access to laser printers, 3D printer, electronics, saws and other tools, as the community comes together to work on large and small projects. Working side-by-side, students round out their STEM educations with hands-on experience.
