Adams State University will participate in the fourth annual Colorado Free Application Days. This year the state extended the free application to three days, October 19, 20 and 21, rather than just one. From October 19 through the 21 visit Adams State free application.
Colorado Free Application Days caps off Colorado Applies Month, a statewide campaign that encourages high school juniors and seniors to explore, chart and execute a post-high school path. Once students select a goal—such as applying to a college or university—they are connected to resources and tools that will help them achieve their major goals and action steps they should take along the way.
The statewide push is designed to increase Colorado’s college-going and FAFSA completion rates. Despite being one of the most educated states in the country, Colorado sends just over 56 percent of high school graduates to a college, university or certificate program, and just 43 percent of students submit a FAFSA application—a key indicator of students’ likelihood to continue their education.
“Colorado Free Application Days sends the message that every student matters,” said Gov. Jared Polis. “There are hundreds of higher education programs across the state—from short-term certificates to master’s degrees in everything from aerospace engineering to early childhood education—and we encourage all Colorado residents to find an opportunity that harnesses their unique talents and interests.”
