Denver Broncos DEI Career Huddle | March 30th 2023

We are preparing for our 3rd annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Career Huddle scheduled on Thursday, March 30, 2023, (9-5 pm). This event brings together (in person and virtual) prospects from across the United States to learn more about working in sports featuring members of the Denver Broncos football and front office staff. In the past, we offer this event in the afternoon; however, we are extending this event to a full-day opportunity as we create the Broncos Academy for in-person attendees at Empower Field at Mile High.

The Broncos Academy features Broncos executives discussing the educational, technical, and interpersonal skill set needed in their area of expertise and offers small group hands-on training scenarios for the participant to experience. Example (2.5 hours) formatting includes:

  • Mentorship introductions/personal journal (15 minutes)
  • Industry organization/progression (20 minutes)
  • Strategies/Philosophies (25 minutes)
  • Scenario Set Up/Group or Individual Project (60 minutes)
  • Presentation/Feedback (30 minutes)

Target Audience: Underrepresented demographics (i.e., ethnic minorities, women, LGBTQ+, veterans, persons with disabilities, etc.) who are DEI Career Huddle in-person participants. If a person seeks to enter the field of professional sports, this opportunity is perfect for them!

After the morning panels, you will also engage in one of two human resource session (1) Application Assistance – Crafting a Winning Resume or (2) Ace the Job Interview: Think Like a Hiring Manager

Afterwards, lunch will be provided. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to engage with a  Denver Broncos executive offering a group deep dive of industry specific ideologies and hands-on training. When registering, please select ONE of the Broncos Academy sessions outlined below:

  • OPTION 1: Corporate Sponsorships / Business Partnerships: In Corporate Sponsorships/Business Partnerships, we work with companies who seek to achieve their marketing objectives through the Denver Broncos. In this session, participants will learn more about how professional sports teams work with businesses to find and secure corporate sponsors (i.e. stadium naming rights, promotions, product endorsements). This session is for any participants who are curious to learn about the intersection of brand marketing and sports, and the lucrative and exciting careers in this profession of sales (business development) and client services (activation).
  • OPTION 2: Business Intelligence & Analytics: Data is a central pillar of every sports organization. The Denver Broncos Business Intelligence and Analytics department is focused on gathering data from various sources with the goal of building lasting loyalty with our fans. In this session you’ll learn how sports business professionals use skills like data science, market research, lead generation, database administration, report building and more to help drive the Broncos’ business forward. You’ll also participate in a real-life fan data project and present your findings in the session.
  • OPTION 3: Sales Tickets & Services: The Sales Academy at the Broncos DEI Career Huddle will offer exclusive ticketing insights, hands-on training, and career pathing opportunities from current Broncos executives, giving participants a behind-the-scenes exposure to the world of the sports and entertainment ticket industry.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion, a class photo, a small gift for attending, and a free professional headshot session.
