This year Adams State University will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Week with events centered on the theme, “Choose Love Over Hate.” The topic relates to Dr. King’s first collection of published sermons, “The Strength to Love.” According to Dr. King, love required strength in the pursuit of justice and equity. King insisted that “darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
