Adams State University today formally announced the advertisement for its next president. Utilizing a campus- and community-wide search committee, Adams State seeks to identify a highly-qualified candidate to serve as the 12th leader of the institution. The search committee is co-chaired by Board of Trustee members Jonathan Marquez, Class of 2013 and Mark Martinez, Class of 2013, with the goal of announcing a new leader in late spring.
“Adams State is poised to move forward with a new leader that exemplifies the high standards and persona of the university and the Valley,” noted Marquez. “This is an incredible opportunity for someone that views Adams State as a catalyst for education throughout the state and region.”
WittKieffer, an executive firm that is highly regarded nationally, was selected to assist the search committee in steering the process. Representatives from WittKieffer will be on campus and in the community on Tuesday, January 24, to conduct listening sessions seeking input on professional qualities that are important as the search moves forward.
David Tandberg, Ph.D., Class of 2002, is currently serving as interim president and will remain in the post until a newly selected president begins his or her official duties.
