Adams State University accepted the resignation of Kent Buchanan, Ph.D., as the vice president of academic affairs.
Dr. Buchanan served as Adams State vice president of academic affairs since March 2020 and made many positive contributions to the University during his tenure. Dr. Buchanan played a pivotal role during COVID, ensuring students and faculty were supported during this time. He willingly took on additional roles leading enrollment; admissions; and student success initiatives; served in a critical leadership role during a significant transition at the University; and taught upper-level courses in STEM.
Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs Margaret Doell, M.F.A., agreed to serve as acting vice president.
