Dr Pepper and Alamosa Walmart are proud to announce a partnership to benefit the Adams State University General Scholarship Fund. For every 12-pack of Dr Pepper 12 oz. cans sold at the Alamosa Walmart through November 16, 2024, $.25 will be donated to support Adams State students.
“We’re excited to team up with Walmart and give back to the Adams State community,” said Jason Brown, Swire Coca-Cola market development manager. “For more than two decades, Dr Pepper has made it a priority to help provide opportunities for college bound students across the country by providing needed scholarship donations. Dr Pepper is proud to continue this tradition by bringing some of these opportunities to the San Luis Valley community by contributing to Adams State University.”
Justin Coley, Alamosa Walmart #869 store manager, added, “This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to the local community. We’re proud to play a role in making higher education more accessible to Adams State students.”
The funds raised will go directly to the Adams State University Foundation General Scholarship Fund, helping to ease the financial burden for students pursuing their educational goals.
“We’re grateful for the support of Dr Pepper and Walmart,” said Jake Rissler, Adams State vice president of advancement. “This initiative will impact the lives of Adams State students, empowering more of our students to achieve their dreams through higher education, especially those that we serve best – first-generation, underserved, and low-income students.”
San Luis Valley residents are encouraged to visit Walmart and purchase Dr Pepper during this period to support local students. Every 12-pack purchased brings another student one step closer to their educational goals.
