• Credit by independent study must be approved by the instructor and the department chair in writing, prior to enrollment.
  • The subject area to be studied will be determined by agreement between the student and instructor with the approval of the vice president for Academic Affairs.
  • Graduate level courses are approved through the Office of Graduate Studies.
  • Independent study course numbers will be 199, 299, 399, and 499 for undergraduate credit; 599 for graduate credit.
  • These courses differ from correspondence courses offered through Adams State University Correspondence Education Program.
