Wellness Study.
Last spring, the Adams State University Human Performance and Physical Education Department, Empower U Wellness group, and the Unidos Equity Institute partnered to offer fitness testing, physical activity programming, and educational materials to the campus and community. This was all a part of the San Luis Valley Wellness Study.
The data showed there were increases among participants in multiple domains of fitness, including muscle strength, endurance, flexibility, and body composition. Due to the success of the study, the work will continue during the 2017-2018 academic year.
This is your opportunity to gain a better understanding of your cardiorespiratory fitness, muscle fitness, flexibility, body composition, cognitive health, and emotional health. This inclusive programming will start with an information meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, in the Adams State East Campus Building room 107.
