Students participate in the Safe Spring Break Fair in 2015.
The Adams State University Counseling Center is hosting a Safe Spring Break Wellness Fair, to bring awareness regarding staying safe and making smart choices during spring break. The fair will be held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday March 16, in the Student Union Building banquet rooms.
Campus clubs and departments and local organizations will participate. The event will also include live music, activities, prize giveaways and booths regarding consent, safe sex practices, roofie awareness, harm reduction, healthy relationships and overall wellness.
The Counseling Center will give away free backpacks full of goodies including chapstick, stressballs, waterbottle, sunscreen, condoms, and more will be included in giveaways etc. There will also be a henna artist, a woman selling spring clothing, and a prize giveaway at the end. Approximately 15 prizes will be given away including free oil changes and gift cards.
