The San Luis Valley Symphony will present its Spring Classics Concert at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 7, in Leon Memorial Hall on the Adams State University campus.
Under the direction of Dr. William Lipke, the program will feature popular selections including Mendelssohn’s great Symphony No. 5, "Reformation;" the beautiful Arioso from J. J. Quantz’s Flute Concerto in G Major with Deanna Smith, competition winner, as soloist; and Respighi’s elegant Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite III.
The SLV Symphony is composed of former and current professional orchestra members, ASU faculty members, and community members. Tickets will be available in the Music Department Office and at the door.
