Adams State University Dr. Robert Benson, professor of geology, leads a team of students on week-long field studies every year and will share their adventures and outcomes at the next Faculty Lecture, The Adams State University Field Geology Experience, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, in McDaniel Hall room 101.
Sweat, tears, desperation, panic and ultimately, confidence of conquest…. these are the feelings of student geologists coming to terms with theory hitting the rock outcrop, as they discover the underpinnings of geoscience in a reality that cannot be ignored. Join us for a short rite-of-passage report on an experience and bond common to all geologists throughout the world.
All ASU Faculty Lectures in the series are free and open to the public. Complimentary light refreshments will be offered. For further information on the series of lectures, contact Dr. Courtney Allen, assistant professor of counselor education, at 719-587-7888 or courtneyallen@adams.edu.
