Share locally grown, non-hybrid seed with your community at the Community Seed Exchange from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, in the Adams State University Nielsen Library.
This is an opportunity to promote the growth and abundance of SLV-hardy plants. Meet your local gardeners; obtain seeds for spring planting; and share what you have with others. There will be some educational displays and demonstrations.
The book, The Seed Garden: The Art and Practice of Seed Saving, will be given away as a door prize. You must be present to win.
This annual event is co-sponsored by Valley Educational Gardens Initiative (VEGI), Alamosa Community Greenhouse, and Seed to Seed Library at Adams State Nielsen Library.
Registration is not necessary. For more information please contact Mary Walsh, Nielsen Library cataloging and acquisition librarian, at 719-587-7174 or mwalsh@adams.edu.
