For over half the students attending Adams State University who are Pell Grant eligible, the cost of attending college just became a little easier. The U.S. Department of Education announced an increase in the Federal Pell Grant for the 2018-19 academic year from $5,920 to $6,095. The increase was part of the recently passed Omnibus Spending Bill which included the provision for the increased Pell Grant funding.
That means for students currently receiving $5,920 in Pell Grant funds they will receive $6,095 for the 2018/2019 academic year. Pell Grants do not have to be paid back.
If you are a current student or prospective student thinking about attending Adams State the Pell Grant increase can help you finance your college education. Make sure you complete the 2018-19 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online.
Students from the San Luis Valley region may be eligible for the SLV Promise Scholarship, as well. Combined with federal and state sources, Adams State’s SLV Promise Scholarship can cover the entire cost of tuition and fees with a $1,000 book waiver.
Adams State is currently enrolling students for summer sessions and for the fall 2018-19 academic school year. Students can enroll in courses online or take courses on campus.
