Santa welcomes children at the Southwest Region Migrant Education Program Santa’s Workshop and Open House on December 15.
This year, the Southwest Region Migrant Education Program (MEP) provided gifts to nearly 100 migrant families through its Adopt-A-Family holiday initiative. "We are so appreciative of all the sponsors who helped make this event a success," said Esmeralda Martinez, director of Southwest Region Migrant Education Program.

"They worked diligently to ensure the event was a success," Martinez added.
The SLV Migrant Education program serves a yearly average of up to 540 students, aged birth-22, from 23 school districts in the San Luis Valley and southwest Colorado. The program connects families of seasonal agricultural workers with community resources, monitors children’s achievements, and provides continuity as they change school districts.
