Please note, most prisons throughout the United States have restricted movement inside prisons to prevent the spread of the virus. This has caused operational problems regarding proctoring and, in the rare occasion, mail delivery.
If a student’s proctor is not allowed to enter the facility or otherwise could not proctor their exam we will use the following process to help the incarcerated students:
- If a Department of Corrections staff member is unable to proctor, instructors can provide an alternative assignment to substitute for exams.
- If an instructor is unable to provide an alternative assignment, we will grant an extension until the lock down lifts.
- Additionally, in the rare case that a student is unable to send anything out of the facility, we will automatically grant an extension until the lock down lifts.
